Tim Hetherington Award

Applications are invited from current or former students of Tufts University for a grant of $2500 to be given in the name of Tim Hetherington, who died reporting on the war in Libya in April 2011.  Tim was a member of the Program for Narrative & Documentary Practice Advisory Board.

The grant is to support a non-fiction storytelling project that seeks to illuminate a humanitarian story that is under-reported. The judges will be looking for applications that are innovative and seek to challenge conventional representations.

Final Project must incorporate photography, video and a 1500-word narrative.
